YJP Miami
About.
We’re a community for Jewish professionals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s living in Miami. Twelve years in. Around 450 members. Eighty-plus events a year — Shabbat dinners, Torah on Thursday nights, rooftop summer parties, women’s circles, holiday programs, and the small private rooms not on any guest list.
What we are
YJP is the social, spiritual, and professional home for Jewish people in Miami who want a real community — not a Friday night they happened to be invited to once. The events are recurring. The faces are the same. The relationships compound.
Our founder is Rabbi Pinchas Rok of The Rok Family Shul. The members run the networks (Real Estate, Finance, Tech, Law, Medical, Women’s, Parents, Singles, and more). Staff handles logistics so the rabbi can do his job.
What to expect
If you come to one event, you’ll meet ~30 people. If you come to three, you’ll start running into the same faces and the names will stick. By month three, you’ll have someone to text when you need an apartment, a doctor, a date, or a Shabbat invitation.
The Friday night Shabbat dinner is the entry point most people take. It’s warm, it’s real, and it’s yours whether you grew up religious, came back to it later, or are just curious. We don’t do conversions and we don’t do hard sells. Show up.
Membership
Membership is monthly with a 12-month commitment. Tiers are four-deep — from Basic (event access) up to Top (private dinners, plus-ones, the network channels nobody else sees). Free events for members are genuinely free. The full breakdown lives at /membership.
You don’t need to be a member to come to your first Shabbat dinner. After that, the math gets compelling fast — most members earn back their tier in event credits within the first quarter.
Where we are
Brickell is the geographic center. Most events happen in Brickell or Mid-Beach. The Rok Family Shul at 35 SE 9th Street is the spiritual hub. Service times — daily Shacharit, Mincha, Maariv, Kabbalat Shabbat — are at /services.
