Getting started
Do I have to be a member to come to my first event?
No. Your first Shabbat dinner is the easiest way to find out if YJP is for you. See what’s on this week and RSVP at the guest price.
How do I become a member?
Pick a tier on /membership. Stripe handles the checkout. Your seat unlocks within 60 seconds and your welcome email lands within minutes.
What if I’ve never been to a Jewish community event before?
Most members come from somewhere — secular, raised observant, returning, or just curious. The Shabbat dinners don’t require any background. Show up, eat, talk to whoever’s next to you. The form is the form is the form.
Membership
What does the 12-month commitment mean?
You’re committing to a year of monthly payments. You can cancel any time, but you remain responsible for the rest of the year unless we waive it for cause (job loss, leaving Miami, etc. — email us). After 12 months, cancel-on-period-end with no further obligation.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes — up to 3 months. Your seat stays warm; we stop charging. Pause from /profile/billing.
Which tier should I pick?
Most members start with Basic ($90/mo) — all YJP events free. If you bring a date or a friend often, Plus ($180/mo) gives 2 plus-ones per month. Unlimited ($360/mo) lets you bring someone to every event (one plus-one per event). Full breakdown on /membership.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. From /profile/billing. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate; downgrades take effect at the next billing period.
Events
Are events kosher?
Yes. All food at YJP events is kosher under reliable supervision (typically The Rok Family Shul’s standards or partner caterers). Hashgacha details are on the per-event page when relevant.
Can I bring a +1?
Plus, Unlimited, and Top members have plus-one privileges baked in. Basic can bring a friend at the guest price posted on the event.
What if I RSVP’d and can’t make it?
Cancel from /bookings as early as you can — caterer counts depend on it. Full refund if you cancel 48+ hours before the event. Inside the window the seat is non-refundable (the food’s already ordered) but you can still cancel to free up the seat.
Payments + privacy
How do I get a receipt?
Every payment is in /profile/billing with downloadable receipts. The “Email me” button on each receipt sends a copy to your inbox if your accountant needs one.
Are my payments secure?
Stripe handles all card processing. We never see your full card number. Your card is stored at Stripe under PCI-compliant infrastructure.
What do you do with my data?
The full version is at /privacy. Short: we use it to run your membership, personalize your experience, and send the emails you signed up for. We don’t sell it. We don’t share it for advertising.
Networks + community
What are networks?
Industry + interest networks at /networks — currently Real Estate, Finance, and Tech, with more rolling out. Each network runs its own dinners and intros. Join as many as fit your life.
What’s a network channel?
An append-only thread for members in that network. Share leads, ask questions, find each other between events. Open the channel from the network page once you’ve joined.

Where do I write to YJP?
hello@yjpmiami.com. Real humans read it. The rabbi reads escalations personally.
Is there an iOS app?
The web app is built mobile-first and installs to the home screen as a PWA. A native iOS app is on the roadmap.
