Terms.

Membership is a 12-month commitment, billed monthly. You get the tier benefits described on /membership. Be a decent person at events. Cancel anytime — you’ll be billed through the end of your minimum term unless we waive it. Disputes are governed by Florida law.

When you sign up at /membership, you agree to a 12-month minimum term billed monthly. Your card is charged automatically each month. You can pause or cancel from /profile/billing at any time:

• Cancel within the first 12 months: you remain responsible for payments through the end of the minimum term, unless we waive it for cause (job loss, relocation out of Miami, etc. — email us).
• Cancel after 12 months: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No further charges.
• Pause: up to 3 months. Your seat stays warm; we stop charging.

Tier benefits include free or discounted entry to YJP events as listed on the membership page. Free-event quotas reset monthly. Tickets are non-transferable; please don’t lend your QR code to non-members. RSVPs are first-come, first-served when capacity is set.

We may cancel or reschedule events for weather, venue changes, or low attendance. Pre-paid event tickets are refunded automatically if we cancel; refunds for member-initiated cancellation depend on the event’s posted policy (typically full refund 48h+ in advance).

YJP is a community. Be the kind of person you’d want at the table:

• No harassment, hate speech, or threats — at events or in network channels.
• No solicitation of members for unrelated business without their explicit invitation.
• Classifieds are for genuine offers and asks, not spam.
• Network channels are members-only. Don’t share their content publicly.
• Photos: see the privacy policy. If someone asks not to be photographed, respect it.

We reserve the right to remove any post, mute any channel participation, or terminate any membership for repeated or serious violations. Refunds in those cases are at our discretion.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Past charges show in /profile/billingwith downloadable receipts. If a charge fails, we’ll notify you and retry within 24 hours. Two consecutive failures result in a paused membership until you update your card.

The YJP Miami brand, app, and original content are ours. You retain ownership of content you submit (channel messages, classifieds, profile copy) but grant YJP a non-exclusive license to display it within the app and in promotional context as appropriate.

The app is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages happen. We’ll work to make them rare and short.

Network channels and classifieds contain user-generated content. We don’t verify member claims, business referrals, or apartment listings. Do your own due diligence before transacting with another member.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YJP Miami’s total liability for any claim related to your use of the app or membership is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Miami-Dade County.

We’ll update this page when terms change and email active members about anything material. Continued use of your membership after a change constitutes acceptance.
