The short version
We collect what we need to run a member community — your name, contact info, what you signed up for, what you came to. We don’t sell it. We share it only with the small set of vendors we use to do the work (Stripe for payments, Postmark for email, Supabase for the database). You can see what we have and ask us to change or delete it any time at hello@yjpmiami.com.
What we collect
- Account info you provide: name, email, phone, neighborhood, network interests, marital status, profile photo, and the answers to onboarding questions.
- Membership + billing: your tier, payment method (stored at Stripe — we never see your full card number), payment history, and subscription status.
- Activity: events you RSVP’d to, attended, or canceled; messages you sent in network channels; ratings you submitted; classifieds you posted; staff notes about touchpoints with you.
- Technical signals: a session cookie for sign-in, an analytics anon ID for A/B testing, a 90-day first-touch UTM cookie if you arrived via a marketing campaign, and a web-push subscription if you opted in to notifications.
- Photos: event photos may include you. Tag and removal requests are honored — see “Photos and likeness” below.
How we use it
- To run your membership (process payments, send tickets, RSVP to events).
- To personalize your experience (event recommendations, “people you might know” in your networks, the AI concierge).
- To send the emails you signed up for: event reminders, weekly digest, the welcome series, and the post-event rating survey. You can turn each off at /profile/notifications.
- To improve the product through aggregate analytics and A/B tests. Tests are bucketed by an anonymous cookie ID, not by name.
- To prevent abuse (rate limiting, spam detection on contact forms).
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers (“sub-processors”) to operate the app. Each has access only to what they need:
- Supabase (Postgres database + auth + file storage)
- Stripe (payments + subscription billing)
- Vercel (web hosting)
- Postmark (transactional and broadcast email)
- Anthropic (AI concierge — your messages and the relevant context are sent to Claude to generate replies)
- Slack (internal staff alerts only — never includes your full payment data or conversation content)
- Sentry (error tracking — may include your user ID and the URL where an error occurred, never request bodies)
- PostHog, Meta Pixel, Google Tag (Analytics) — only loaded if you accept the cookie banner. Used for aggregate page views, signup-funnel attribution, and ad measurement. None of these run if you declined cookies; you can change your preference anytime by clearing this site’s data and reloading.
Photos and likeness
Photos taken at YJP events are part of community life. They may appear in the app, on yjpmiami.com, on our social media, and in promotional material. If you’d rather not appear in any of those, email hello@yjpmiami.comwith the photo or the event and we’ll take it down or blur you out within 7 business days.
Retention
We keep your account information as long as you’re an active or paused member, plus the legal minimum after cancellation (typically 7 years for payment records to satisfy IRS rules; 90 days for support tickets; until requested deletion for everything else). Aggregate / anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
Your rights
You can:
- See everything we have about you — email hello@yjpmiami.com and we’ll send a full export within 30 days.
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account. We’ll do it within 30 days, except for records we’re legally required to keep (payment history, primarily).
- Opt out of any email category in /profile/notifications.
- Mute push notifications globally (browser settings) or per-channel inside each network channel.
